Amanda Bossard graduated from high school in 1992. She then began an education in marine science at the Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage. Bossard's career began in 1999, when she took a job at the vessel F/V Sunset. This 65 foot halibut boat was turned to a salmon tender by Murat Ariatn. He is a commercial fisherman for over 20 years. Bossard who is engaged to Aritan, has joined their forces in order to claim their industries. Both of them are in the direction of preserving resources and maximising the profits. Otolith was founded by Philadelphia by Bella Bossard and is currently mother to two kids with ages of 3 and 1 Bossard. The name Otolith serves as a fond reference to Bossard's extensive understanding of the biology of fish and her husband's many connections in the industry of seafood. It is common for them to be apart for five months each time they strive to achieve financial and environmental goals that show their determination and independence wherever they live. Since July of 2016, Bossard and her daughter Isabella aged 12 and Andre age 10 Andre aged 10 returned to Southeast Alaska annually each summer for deckhand work throughout the harvest of wild salmon in the summer. For two months, Bossard, along with her daughter Isabella use hooks & lines to catch their desired salmon. Aritan will then sell their seafood locally to processors. Amanda Bossard was hired as anchor for News 12/MMJ and News 12 Anchor/MMJ and News 12 Brooklyn in November 2015.
